Felinfoel play area consultation 13 March 2017

Llanelli Rural Council is in the process of taking on a lease of part of the land behind Ynys Wen in Felinfoel from Carmarthenshire County Council and will install a new play area on the land.

A community consultation was held at Ysgol Y Felin Primary School last October where residents had the opportunity to give their opinion to play scheme providers on the type of play equipment they would like for Felinfoel. The play scheme providers have taken this information on board and will be presenting their subsequent designs for further consultation.

Residents are being encouraged to feedback on the play area designs which will be on display at at Ysgol Y Felin Primary School on Monday, 13 March, 2017, from 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm. At the consultation, attendees will be encouraged to select their preferred scheme. The information will be fed back to the Rural Council’s Recreation and Welfare Committee to be held on 21 March, 2017, together with the quotations received from the companies involved.

Council Leader, Cllr. Tegwen Devichand said “the Rural Council is delighted to be able to show the public the final designs for Felinfoel Play Area. The turnout at the previous consultation held at the school last October was one of the best we have had. We hope that this enthusiasm is repeated with another good turnout on Monday 13th March. I’d also like to say thank you to Ysgol Y Felin for their cooperation and accommodating the consultations.”
